No major conclusions can be drawn, and the analysis of the results is not particularly enlightening. The field of biomarkers associated with both efficacy and cognition in ECT is evolving rapidly, particularly the neuroimaging branch of this field. This review may contain a good reference list from which to check future reviews, but a full and careful read of these negative, contradictory and unreplicated findings is only recommended for researchers in the field, ~25 minutes.
