Every contemporary ECT practitioner should read this editorial and be ashamed of the way Lancet editors (British psychiatry in general? (see the NICE reports)) have treated ECT over the years.
The tone of this editorial is downright derogatory.
No wonder Max Fink felt compelled to respond in the forceful way he did (see his response on tomorrow's blog).
