Here is an announcement in JAMA in 1954 from the Council on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Apparatus Accepted" section. This early Medcraft had the "glissando" feature, for gradual application of the stimulus. It looks pretty modern, compared to the "Tractolater" (see above).
