This is a least-publishable unit (publishable only because of the genetic syndrome) that nonetheless is helpful to have in the literature. No surprise that ECT benefits both the psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia and the motor symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. Any addition to the evidence base for the use of ECT in these "orphan" indications (yes, schizophrenia is still such in the USA, at least) is most welcome. Kudos to our Japanese colleagues!
