This is very well presented case report; I am surprised that the "catatonic stupor" did not make it into the title. I had not heard of the term 
"thrombophilia" for hypercoagulability, but am glad to be educated. 
Kudos to our Czech colleagues for the good clinical management, with proper ECT technique, to insure a successful outcome.
